Why learn Greek (and English)?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Learning Greek, and if possible a bit of English, makes it easier to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>communicate with doctors, teachers and the administration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>be more independent in everyday tasks (transport, shops, public services)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>access more job and training opportunities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>better understand Greek culture and meet new people<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Even a few simple phrases, learned and repeated, can already improve your daily life.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Types of courses available<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Greece, there are several ways to learn:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Free or low-cost Greek classes<\/strong> organised by NGOs, community centres or evening schools<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>English classes<\/strong> for people who want to work with international organisations or in tourism<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Conversation workshops in small groups<\/strong> to practise speaking with volunteers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Online courses<\/strong> (apps, videos, websites) to learn at your own pace from your phone<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some organisations also offer specific courses for women, parents or young people.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. How to choose the right course<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To choose a course that fits your needs, you can:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>check the level (beginner, intermediate, etc.) and the language used by the teacher<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ask if there is childcare available or if children can join the session<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>get information about the timetable, location and any possible cost<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>try several courses before deciding<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The goal is not to speak perfectly, but to make a little progress every week.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4.
