Becoming a volunteer in Greece: this page presents solidarity-based roles, the kinds of support you can provide, and the ways to offer practical help to Afghan families.

Why become a volunteer?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

By becoming a volunteer, you:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • provide direct support to families in transition;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • take part in concrete, human actions, on the ground or remotely;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • develop useful skills (mediation, communication, translation, organisation);<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • contribute to the social integration of newcomers in Greece.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    • Welcome, information, and guidance<\/strong>
      Helping families find the right services and understand the required steps.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Translation and interpreting (FR \/ EN \/ Dari \/ Pashto \/ others)<\/strong>
      Supporting communication with schools, hospitals, public services, and partners.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Administrative support<\/strong>
      Accompanying people to administrative, medical, or school appointments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Educational and language support<\/strong>
      Homework help and French, Greek, or English workshops for children, teenagers, and adults.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Event logistics support<\/strong>
      Helping organise workshops, cultural days, and donation campaigns.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Content creation<\/strong>
      Contributing to guides, tutorials, practical resources, or web content.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
