{"id":68,"date":"2025-11-16T12:04:48","date_gmt":"2025-11-16T11:04:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.afghansingreece.org\/?p=68"},"modified":"2026-04-23T18:00:21","modified_gmt":"2026-04-23T16:00:21","slug":"journee-culturelle-afghane-a-athenes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.afghansingreece.org\/en\/journee-culturelle-afghane-a-athenes\/","title":{"rendered":"Afghan Cultural Day in Athens"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Afghan cultural day in Athens: this event highlights music, arts, food, and community encounters to showcase Afghan culture and bring communities closer together in Greece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Objectives of the day<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The goal of this event is two fold:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>to offer Afghan families a space of pride, sharing and joy;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>to build bridges between Greek society and refugees, far from clich\u00e9s and fear.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">On the programme<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>food stalls with specialities prepared by Afghan families;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>workshops for children (drawing, calligraphy, storytelling);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>traditional dance and music performances;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>testimonies from people who have experienced exile and built a new life in Greece;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>information about our work (education, health, administrative support).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why is this day important?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a context where refugees are often reduced to numbers and files, this day is a reminder that they are, above all, people with a culture, talents, dreams and a story.\nIt also gives Greeks, volunteers and neighbours the chance to better understand the reality of Afghan families, far from simplified narratives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Building a more inclusive society<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By taking part in the event or sharing it, you help build a more inclusive society where cultural diversity becomes a shared asset and not a barrier.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Journ\u00e9e culturelle afghane \u00e0 Ath\u00e8nes : cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement met en avant la musique, les arts, la cuisine et les rencontres pour faire d\u00e9couvrir la culture afghane et rapprocher les communaut\u00e9s en Gr\u00e8ce.
